WORK IN PROGRESS

OUTCOME About 10 one-on-one and small-group trainings; faculty returned repeatedly for help ideating agent-based automation of a registration workflow

What I made

As a Graduate Research Assistant in UNC's Educational Innovation & Technology group (EdIT), I delivered about 10 one-on-one and small-group trainings for faculty and staff. The sessions covered generative-AI tools alongside the everyday technology people teach with: Apple hardware, projectors, and networking.

Which generative-AI tools did the trainings cover (for example ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot), and was there a deck or one-pager that EdIT has cleared for public sharing?

Outcome

  • About 10 one-on-one and small-group trainings delivered between Aug 2025 and Jul 2026.
  • I became the go-to for follow-up consults. Faculty returned repeatedly for help ideating agent-based automation of a registration workflow — that repeat demand is the result I can verify.
  • In the same role I resolved 2–3 hardware, AV, and network issues per week across classrooms and offices with minimal downtime.

No attendance counts, satisfaction scores, or adoption numbers are claimed here.

do any such numbers exist for these sessions?

Process

How did you run a typical session (hands-on with the person's own task, a short walkthrough, something else), and what did attendees leave with? Did people who came in for hardware or AV fixes also bring AI questions, or is that a guess?

Tools

Generative-AI tools, Apple hardware, projectors, and networking were the subjects of the trainings.

Which software did you use to build any training materials (for example Keynote, Canva, or Figma)?
