What I made

From my old portfolio, in my own words:

Capturing the world around me is my favorite way to practice being present. Being able to be in the moment well enough to not only recognize a beautiful moment, but having the awareness to want to capture it. My love for photography is inherited from my mother. Even within our busy lives, we can always come back to this art form and bond.

This page is the photo series carried over from my old portfolio, where it sat under "My photos", apart from the department design work: nature, architecture, still life, and portraits. A snake-plant close-up, winter trees, a campus rooftop in snow, chess pieces, a portrait in an orange durag.

were these shot for yourself, or for a client or the department? No source says either way; the old portfolio only files them under "My photos", separately from Work Designs.

Process

The subjects are the things around me: a plant, a chess set, a rooftop after snow, a person in an orange durag.

is the T7i + 18–135mm the only gear you shoot with? The old portfolio lists it but does not say it is the only setup.

how do you edit (Lightroom, the camera's JPGs, something else), and do you shoot RAW?
